![]() For anyone that is following, it appears that the problem with using IfoEdit and PCM audio is a known problem - I found an old thread that covered the subbject here: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.ph...ht=ifoedit+pcm Unfortunately, it doesn't look like there is a solution... Woodlake |

@ Woodlake and Dave:
i did step 1 using vobrator (no vobedit), was "very complicated".....(i never used vobrator before) and from step2 to step4 like the guide and got perfect sincro between audio(2*ac3 + new mp2) & video. (not did at the final of the guide, only using the .ifos and .vobs of this step in powerdvd) for me, ----> vobedit give the error after step 1 (demux). @ Dave: no matter what dvd i use, in all, i got less cells after step 5 than i find in the original VTS_01_0.IFO that show the ifoedit overview. the last movie(too big) have from pg1 to pg13, pg12 have cell 12 and cell 13 and pg13 have cell 14, after step 5 i got only 10 cells! ![]() sorry mate, i can't find the reason! ![]() |

@Jorel,
I can't say I have had any problems with the streams demuxed by VobEdit. My problems are to do with putting the steams back together again with IfoEdit. Just to confirm that this is in fact the problem, you could use Media Player Classic and view the m2v and .ac3 files and see if they are in sync? As long as the video and audio have the same file name and are in the same folder eg "test.m2v" and "test.ac3" it will play them. hxxp://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Players/mpc2kxp6478.zip You might also want to try using DVDDecrypter in "ifo mode" and enable "stream processing" to demux instead of VobEdit? Again you can check the sync using Media Player. As for the number of cells being incorrect, I really dont know??. The number of entries in your celltimes.txt file is the number of cells you should have? I pressume that you are putting this in the "Scene changes/chapter" section of the IfoEdit "DVD Author" section at Step 4? Woodlake |

ok,ok!
i try like you posted and all(well, not all) is ok(second dvd) the first dvd(cartoon)used for test give sincro problems... maybe the reason is that the first cell have only one audio... (don't know ...maybe)could be? the second dvd (big) don't have sincro problems but cell(celltimes) problems: ifoedit show as posted: "pg1 to pg13, pg12 have cell 12 and cell 13 and pg13 have cell 14, after step 5 i got only 10 cells!" than i can't play the movie, only the menu(then close powerdvd). from ifoedit: PCG_1 : pg 01 cell 01 v/c id:1/1 to pg 11 cell 11 v/c id:1/11 pg 12 cell 12 v/c id:1/12 ..........cell 13 v/c id:1/13 pg 13 cell 14 v/c id:2/1 PCG_2 : pg 01 cell 01 v/c id:2/1 i loose somewhere cos i got only 10,see the log: File VTS_01_001.VOB: [Vob/Cell Id: 1/1] File VTS_01_002.VOB: [Vob/Cell Id: 1/2] File VTS_01_003.VOB: [Vob/Cell Id: 1/3] File VTS_01_004.VOB: [Vob/Cell Id: 1/4] File VTS_01_005.VOB: [Vob/Cell Id: 1/5] File VTS_01_006.VOB: [Vob/Cell Id: 1/6] File VTS_01_007.VOB: [Vob/Cell Id: 1/7] File VTS_01_008.VOB: [Vob/Cell Id: 1/8] File VTS_01_009.VOB: [Vob/Cell Id: 1/9] File VTS_01_010.VOB: [Vob/Cell Id: 1/10] @ Dave where are you? your guide is great (maybe the first for full movie with one more audio channel) and only fews are posting but have many views! we are in the final step! help us more! thanks! ![]() @ 2cool,members and developers: you're welcome too! ![]() |

It seems like you have quite a capabilty of picking up particular DVDs!
![]() Quote:
I suppose they refer to it twice in the IFO, but infact there's just one of it in the vob. So when you reauthor, try to ignore the celltimes.txt from pgc 2, use just the one from pgc 1. At the end you should have 14 cells, just go along with the guide and you should be OK. Let me know if it works ![]()

I'm really confused...
![]() I don't know how much this can be useful, but have a look at your 10 vobs and see what parts are missing. BTW, did you remember to check "Demux entire titleset" in step 5?

Dave,
the 10 vobs have the complete full movie, ...just like the 4 original vobs! and yes, "CellID" and "Demux entire titleset" was checked in step 5! when i open first vobcell in menuedit, i have only one vob id:1 cell id:1 (0 buttons) and only one "vob id" in the 9 remainders! |

![]() ![]() I can't understand what's happening... Try this: have a look at the IFOs created by IFOEdit when you author with the new audio track. Create a CellTimes.txt from VTS_01_0.IFO and compare it to the one obtained from the original titleset IFO. Maybe we'll understand something from the differences...

It seems there's a problem with IFOEdit, I don't know why it doesn't create cells as the celltimes.txt says, I'm sorry... and also confused, in the attempt I made with an authored movie of mine everything was OK

Dave,
i was thinking: don't have a way to demux the vobs as cells, change the vob ids one by one, join clips and make a new ifo for the main movie for use in the full movie? ...or something like this? i can't desist, we walk a long road trying and testing! ![]() |

I'd like to say that with extreme simple movies (no menues, just one PGC) it is sufficient to do steps 1 through 4.
And, what kept me busy quite a long time, was that my source DVD didn't contain a valid ac3 track - it played well, but IFOEdit didn't like it. I ad to reencode the exact same audio (ac3->mp3->ac3) to make it work. So check if the size of your movie after step4 really is enlarged by the new audio. ![]() Eh, and thanks for the guide, Dave !

@ Luzipher,
welcome in forum! (sorry,i forgot in the last post to send welcome) ![]() Dave, i got! ![]() i left the out: vts_pgc_5 12130 45890+12130 58020 vts_pgc_6 12772 58020+12772 70792 vts_pgc_7 12553 70792+12553 83345 and use the only the first 8 : vts_pgc_1 406 406 406 vts_pgc_2 653 406+653 1059 vts_pgc_3 160 1059+160 1219 2172 1059+2172 3231 vts_pgc_4 12130 3231+12130 15361 24902 3231+24902 28133 37455 3231+37455 40686 42659 3231+42659 45890 everything is working: menu,chapters,extras,etc but with a little problem... audio running out of sincro round 5 seconds (audio came first than video from cell 02 to cell 08!) the end of the cell 02, have ~5 seconds of cell 03. the same happen in the others cells, the end of each have the begining of the next cell ! strange...the pcg_3 cell 01,have time00:05.10 seconds like overall audio error in the final. maybe the reason is that the first cell(advertences) have only one audio track(080)(without sound but with a track). i will try to change the audio in the 7 cells remainder and left the first alone without change....waiting your opinion first! see the cells from original .ifo: pcg_1 (use vob ids: 1) [cell 01] [vc id: 1/1] time00:13.16 pos: 00:13.16 frames 406 pcg_2 (use vob ids: 2) [cell 01] [vc id: 2/1] time00:21.23 pos: 00:21.23 frames 653 pcg_3 (uses vob ids: 3,4) [cell 01] [vc id: 3/1] time00:05.10 pos: 00:05.10 frames 160 [cell 02] [vc id: 4/1] time01:07.02 pos: 01:12.12 frames 2172 pcg_4 (use vob ids: 5,6,7,8) [cell 01] [vc id: 5/1] time06:44.10 pos: 06:44.10 frames 12130 [cell 02] [vc id: 6/1] layer Br. time07:05.22 pos: 13:50.02 frames 24902 [cell 03] [vc id: 7/1] layer Br. time06:58.13 pos: 20:48.15 frames 37455 [cell 04] [vc id; 8/1] layer Br. time02:53.14 pos: 23:41.29 frames 42659 pcg_5 (use vob ids: 5) [cell 01] [ vc id: 5/1] time06:44.10 pos: 06:44.10 frames 12130 pcg_6 (use vob ids:6) [cell 01] [vc id: 6/1] time07:05.22 pos: 07:05.22 frames 12772 pcg_7 (use vob ids:7) [cell 01] [vc id: 7/1] time06:58.13 pos: 06:58.13 * what means "layer Br" in pcg_4 ? thanks Dave,the solution is the next step! ![]() |

What's the delay information you get from VOBEdit? And from DVD2AVI or SmartRipper?

What seems strange to me is that you said this delay starts from the end of cell 2. But what about cell 1? If cell times are correct and the audio comes 5 seconds before the right time, don't you have 5 sec. of cell 2 at the end of cell 1? Shouldn't the synchronization be wrong since the beginning?
