Issue withe LAME and XSPF WMP with IE
Hi there,
I'm having a funny issue with the LAME encoder (that's what I narrowed it down to), which I used to encode .wav to 96kbps, nonvbr, joint stereo, normal quality MP3s. Those are supposed to be played back by the XSPF Web Music Player (http://musicplayer.sourceforge.net/), which does work fine with Firefox (3.*) and Opera (9*), but not with IE (7 & 8 Beta 2). With Internet Explorer, the music is played faster, making it sound like The Chipmunks ... I tested that on 3 different PCs, and used multiple LAME settings (Mono, Stereo, VBR, high quality etc.) and versions (3.90alpha & 3.98). I use LAME via Audiograbber 1.82, but that should not affect this. MP3s which are not encoded with LAME (different encoder mentioned in the .nfo) play back normal under IE as well ... Has anyone heard of that before? Or could anyone imagine what to do here besides using a different encoder? (and if not, I would appreciate a recommendation) Thanks in advance cobe |
