Version 1.0.4 is getting flagged as either adware or a trojan by about half the scanning engines on VirusTotal:

https://www.virustotal.com/#/file/73...37ea/detection

Before I deleted it, I found that AviSynth32.bin seemed to be the file that was setting off the scanners, if that helps.

I don't know if it puts your mind at ease if I tell you that there's no virus/trojan/worm or whatever organism these retarded engines are detecting but I do know that I can't fix it and don't care about this silliness.

I have never used AV in ~30 years; never had a problem apart from that Blaster thingy in the early 2000's which I fixed in a few minutes by restoring my latest disk image.

I had a daft Lottery checker thing with 49 buttons all in neat rows.
Silly AV stuff saw it as some kind of malware mutation device (buttons were nearly all same with exception of number text and coords on form).
I had to just make a couple of them 'out of sequential order' (drawn on frame slightly out of order) and that placated the damn cretinous scareware.

That you know of. Viruses are a lot subtler than they were 30 years ago. That's probably also why we have to put up with a lot of false positives.

I sometimes run Malwarebytes and TrendMicro manually when I'm bored. These also never showed up anything.
A properly configured firewall is really all one needs. Of course, this only works if the user knows what traffic through which ports can be allowed|blocked.

Lastly, most infections are the user's fault because people tend to click on things, install things or open email attachments that will do nasty stuff.

For pretty much bullet proof Comodo Internet Security Firewall settings, Google this "How to configure Comodo Internet Security",
33.57 minute video on YouTube should be 1st on the list.

EDIT: Get a highish rez version, so you can see what he's doin'.

v1.0.6
- Added fftw library dependency check

Edit: VirusTotal.com is a lot happier with this 1.0.6 version (2 engines out of 54 think it's a virus) than the previous 1.0.5 (24 engines out of 57 think it's a virus) even though I just made a few code changes. It just shows again how utterly random, misleading and retarded most of these scanners are.

Yeah, Jiagmin and Rising have a pretty large false positive rate in my experience, so I think you should be good now. Still, having a clean bill of health makes the tool easier to recommend, so it's much appreciated.

The fftw library check is great. I initially expected it to show whether it was installed or not up top near the avisynth.dll location, but since not everyone needs it, I get why it makes more sense to print a warning if it's required by a plugin and not installed.

This looks better though [or maybe its just me]

VirusTotal.com is a lot happier with this 1.0.6 version (52 engines out of 54 think it's a NOT virus).

Darn Defender still rejects it.
Last version which was accepted by Defender was v 1.0.7.

I tested with Virustotal, only one stupid engine reported it.
