Vobsub original size error
I had created a idx/sub for BRAZIL documentary(special feature) its in 4:3 A/R PAL. But after muxing it to encoded x264 video, the subs are way bit downward and subs on the edge aren't even shown. I checked the .idx file and found that the attribute
# Original frame size size: 720x480 I knew it should be 720x576 and changed it. Why the hell Vobsub is detecting in such manner as PAL subs as NTSC? |

This sub is in PGC 3 of the IFO(VTS_03_0.IFO). I found that the IFO have(using IFOedit) Menu Attributes:MPEG-1 720x480 (NTSC) and Title Set(Movie) Attributes:MPEG-2 720x576 (PAL) . I can confirm that the DVD don't have any mpeg 1 NTSC content as menu or movie. I think vobsub is getting its size attribute from "Menu Attributes" not from "Title Set(Movie) Attributes".

That the menu is NTSC while the project and all files are PAL I noticed to be a problem of TMPGenc DVD Author too. |
