10bit in 16bit pixel format

How to convert 10bit file (eg. uncompressed YUV) into 16bit one, but keeping original bits and just padding with 0s?

Code:
Expr(clip, 'x * 64', vs.YUV420P16)
You meant shift the bits 6 steps to the left, right?

I assume. So no extra bits are introduced but original ones are inserted into 16bit format.
Is it possible with ffmpeg directly?

I assume this will work for RGB 10bit source.
