Sanear vs MPC Audio Renderer. Many changes?

Hopefully Kodi DSplayer is going to be updated. Last version used to get by with Sanear 0.3 (released in 2015). That is the last update available on Github.

I see there are downloads available for MPC Audio Renderer around, apparently much more up to date. Are they worth it? Are they legit?

I ask because if Sanear development has been abandoned, maybe it would make sense to make sure the new Kodi DSPlayer works with MPC Audio Renderer, if it's legit. I'm unsure about it because I can't find an official page for it, as there is for MPC VR.

it's part of mpc-be and hc so there is no stand alone project of it i know of. of cause it is legit it's been part of mpc-hc/be far before sanear was ever a thing.

there where troubles in the far long past with mpc audio renderer but for like many years now it pretty much supersedes sanear now.

in the end it never really matter because the default ds audio was always so good this bare if at all changed anything.

subtitles is going to be another mess.
while xy subfilter still works and there are some forks that get a patch here and there the future is clearly in libass and the internal subtitle filter in mpc-hc and as far as i know you can not just strip this out and turn into an xy subfilter without doing some serious work.

Download standalone_filters-mpc-be.1.6.11.x64.7z or standalone_filters-mpc-be.1.6.11.x86.7z, extract and register MpcAudioRenderer.ax

Don't know how I have missed those downloads. Thanks a lot for clarifying and, obviously, for your continued support of MPC-BE.

With reference to what Huhn said above, is SubtitleSource.ax just a portion of the subtitle engine, that depends on MPC-VR or could it potentially work as a substitute for xysubfilter?
