Quick tool to adjust AVI audio preload?

If my info is correct, having a preload of ±500ms helps smoother playback. Many of my avi files have a preload of 0, but the only tool I've found so far to adjust it with is AviMux which requires the whole avi file to be re-saved.

Is there a tool to adjust the preload directly without re-saving, like AviFrate or abcAVI do with the framerate and the avi tags?

Thanks in advance!
