DVD-Audio to BluRay
Can anyone suggest a simple workflow to convert a DVD-Audio (with multichannel uncompressed LPCM) to BluRay (again with multichannel uncompressed LPCM).
Basically I have a PS3 and it doesn't support DVD-Audio so I would like to burn BDs and listen to the HiRes multichannel audio rather than the DTS or Dolby multichannel that is included in the DVD-V section of the original discs. I can easily extract the multichannel audio from a DVD-A using DVD-A Explorer and I get multichannel WAV files (one of each song). DVD-A Explorer also allows to separate channels into different files if that should come useful. What do I do next? Anyone willing to list what software to use and what steps to follow? Also as a side question: what is the maximum audio resolution (for 5.1) that I can use in BluRay without the need for DTS-MA encoding? Is 96/24 5.1 LPCM in the BluRay specs (and supported in the PS3)? THANKS!!! |

Try with multiAVCHD, in this post
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=143744 As for your other question, BluRay supports up to 27.7 Mbits, of 44.1 up to 192kHz, 16 up to 24 bits, and 8 channels audio, so it should be able to support 96kHz/24bits/8-channels audio or 192kHz/24bits/6-channels audio.
