Or this project
The changelog file is generated by github changelog generator if you have already created issues (tickets), properly labelled them and set them into a milestone; and you can copy-paste it into the release notes, that's the config I use for it.

Any idea why with the latest Nvidia drivers (391.01) a brief system freeze (including the mouse pointer) occurs right before playing a video?

Obvious. It is one of many bugs in the NVIDIA driver.

Of course, but I'm just wondering why it affects this program specifically, and was hoping that maybe with luck a developer would be able to tell easily. I'm just curious, no need to answer if it requires any effort.

It seems related to EVR, if you use madVR it does not happen.

I've found a strange little bug. Currently running MPC-HC 1.7.15 and madVR 092.12 64bit. (Windows 10, 64 bit, Nvidia driver 391.01 with a 1080 ti)
If I launch any video, full screen or not, it will launch "paused". I hit play and it will play normally.
The problem goes away if i enable "delay playback start until render queue is full" in madVR. The video then starts and plays automatically as it should. Same issue occures in MPC-HC 1.7.14.
No issues with the madVR setting in other players such as MPC-BE so appears to be specific to MPC-HC.
Oh, and thanks, clsid, for keeping MPC-HC alive.
