Need help with exporting AviSynth wiki

Hi all,

I was about the back up AviSynth wiki to a single xml file by using the Export pages page (under special pages). The idea is, that if something happens to the wiki, you import the xml file again.

However, it looks like the subcategories aren't exported automatically. The idea was one day to export the main category 'Category:AviSynth' but that doesn't work.

I don't have time to investigate this further or figure out how to export everything properly (to one or several xml files). Is there anyone who know more about this and can help me with it?

By reading https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Export it looks like it doesn't work that way and i need to enter all pages manually or something, but that's not an option since there are a lot of pages in a plenty of (sub)categories.

Does that mean in need to install PHP (or ask my hostcompany to install it) and create an XML dump using the command line?
