mp3 decoder
MADE A MISTAKE please move to audio thanx
When i use gspot or media players it says that the mp3 is being decoded by frankenlin. Would decodeing by lame or some other thrid party like ffdshow help with processing or not owrth it

The quality of MP3, like other lossy formats, is based 99.9999% on the encoder used, and the decoder makes very little difference (unless the decoder is broken). If you're referring to the default fraunhofer MP3 decoder that ships with windows, this normally isn't a problem.

Hard way: register anothe DShow decoder such as the MAD filter with higher merit than the MS filter. You can also try unregistering the MS filter, but IIRC it decodes other formats as well which you may not want to disable. You'll want to grab graphedit from the doom9 download page to get an idea of what filters are on your system.
Easy way: Use a media player such as RadLight or ZoomPlayer that can 'blacklist' filters of intelligently change the merit.
