Mp3 and Mp3pro encoders on Linux/UNIX like FHG ones...

Hi,

I'm looking for an mp3 and mp3pro encoders on Linux/UNIX which are equivalent (non-lame) like fraunhofer ones.

Out of interest... Why?

Both have been superseded by better performing audio encoding formats?

Well, there's aac and others, but still, are there any encoders like those (fhg mp3 and mp3pro) for linux/unix?

May I use the mp3 and mp3pro encoders from Nero Linux through commands?

Or in Avidemux?

And how to use Nero AAC encoder in Avidemux for ex.?
