DVD to MP4
Hi Everyone,
I've started backing up all my DVDs onto my computer with the aim of converting them to mp4s to store on my NAS drive. I'm using handbrake to convert them from VOB to MP4 however my samsung led tv (series 5 i think), won't play the file. I get the message, unsupported file type I've been on the Samsung website to find out what codecs are support and tried to encode to these but still get the same problem. Could somebody help me? I've used mediainfo to extract all the information out of the files i'm testing in the hope that somebody can point out my simple mistakes. |

What does your Samsung support?
(in distant future maybe relevant) What happens if your Samsung will be physically or technically or aesthetically obsolete? Can it not play ISO images of the DVDs?

To keep things simple, start with doing just 720x576 Main Profile with stereo AAC-LC audio. That's compatible with pretty much everything. |
