No. If you want postprocessing, you should use ffdshow.

And what we expect as nvidia owners is a player which is DXVA compliant and an ati/nvidia-friendly mpc-hc. We can wait one more week by pleasure of course Last edited by rica; 7th July 2008 at 22:52. |

MPC HC is now far from a MPC bugfix version.
Don't you think MPC HC should have its own forum instead of this thread ? I think it would be easier for developers and users, with a development section for testers, and a "general help" section for others... |

Hi, found a h.264 trailer that has block-artifacts during several scenes with DXVA: http://trailers.nerodigital.com/Disn...ame_HD_AVC.mp4
Tried to cut down the movie with avidemux to post it here, but the resulting file wouldn't play at all with mpchc (worked with VLC). I can observe block-artifacts at around 18 seconds of playtime. These were present with every mpcHC version i tested (first "official" until v. 643) After 1.1.631 every video plays corrupt (as others here reported already) Got an Nvidia 8800GT Video Card on WINXP, DXVA works fine here on most files. |

Although the internal PS/TS/PVA splitter it's working better now it still needs some adjustment ! Here is a test example which doesn't work with internal TS splitter but it's working with Haali's splitter !
Can someone Please fix this ?

A suggestion for the standalone filter: add the possibility to access its property page.
rundll32.exe MPCVideoDec.ax,Configure

Minor Video issue in Full Screen mode
Hello All,
While playing MKV files using MPC - Home Cinema in full screen, I am having some residual desktop showing up at the bottom of the screen. Please look at the attached images. Everything else is fine, I get HA and picture is smooth. I am very happy with MPC-HC but this one issue is very annoying. Can anyone please, please direct me to a solution. My Hardware AMD Athlon 6000 ECS Nforce 6M-A motherboard Sapphire ATI HD 2600 video card Windows XP Professional MPC-HC v1.1.604.0 Hitachi 47" LCD 1080P via HDMI Thanks much for your input Last edited by coolhd; 8th July 2008 at 15:52. |

Also, it would be nice if this filter was compatible with Vista Media Center so my wife could watch movies. The file plays fine in x64 Windows Media Player with all the MPC-HC filters registered.

The filter is compatible, all DirectShow filters are. Your problem is caused by something else. Media Center often just refuses to play files because they have an 'unknown' file extension. There are registry tweaks to make Media Center recognize those extensions.
Try this: Code:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\MLS\Extensions] "mp4"="video" "m4a"="audio" "hdmov"="video" "mkv"="video" "mka"="audio" "ogm"="video" "ogg"="audio" "flv"="video" "mov"="video" "qt"="video" "3gp"="video" "3g2"="video" "3gp2"="video" "3gpp"="video" "ts"="video" "m2ts"="video" "ra"="audio" "ram"="video" "rm"="video" "rmvb"="video" "ape"="audio" "tta"="audio" "alac"="audio" "wv"="audio" "mpc"="audio" "aac"="audio" "ac3"="audio" "avi"="video" "vob"="video" "m2p"="video" "ofr"="audio" "m2t"="video" "mts"="video" "dts"="audio" "amv"="video" "m4v"="video" "mp4v"="video" "m4b"="video" "264"="video" "amr"="audio" "aif"="video" "aiff"="video" "flc"="video" "cif"="video" "dv"="video" "dif"="video" "abc"="video" "spx"="audio" "pmp"="video" "drc"="video" "flac"="audio" "divx"="video" "mqv"="video" "k3g"="video"

Does EVR custom work with PowerDVD decoder ?
Looking in release history, it should be fixed in 604, but I have a black window, and statistics show only 1 frame drawn. I tried in 622 and 643 too, same problem. CLVsd.ax 8.1.1608 Radeon HD4870 (catalyst 4.6 hotfix) Vista SP1 |

Can anybody tell me how to fix the washed out blacks on VMR9 output with MPC? The grayish blacks with VMR9 keep me from using it fulltime.
I usually would fix this by using Haali Renderer, but that renderer has some residual desktop at the top of the screen as well, which is just as much of an annoyance. Now that I mention it, if somebody could help me get both: 1) True blacks during playback 2) No residual desktop at the top of the screen with either renderer, that would be much appreciated. |

For problem no.2, you probably can get better result if you ask at the HR thread. I don't use HR because of the ghost lines with ATI HD cards. Last edited by ranpha; 9th July 2008 at 04:05. Reason: for clarity |
