I love this program but as far as I can tell, there is no way to BURN IN subtitles. I would love if you could add this feature. BURN IN subtitles is my preferred method when dealing with a mixed language film (in other words a film that is mostly English but which has some sequence or sequences that are foreign and has forced subs for these parts).

From the reading it seems the program can BURN IN subtitles when working with 3D video but I only work with standard 2D (non-3D) video.

Thanks for a great program that works so well in terms of simplicity as well as quality output!

What do you mean? Downmix source AC3 5.1 audio to AC3 2.0?

Why is necessary?

Normally all players can downmix audio to stereo if only two speakers are present (or headphones) and savings in bitrate are not much significant.

BURN IN subtitles is not necessary. MKV and AVCHD containers support forced subtitles (flagged forced) as in original Blu-Ray.

Burn in subtitles is only the last resort when player not support other options...

Currently ALL decent MKV and AVCHD players supports forced subs.

@pistacho

I realize this but for forced subs that only pop up some-of-the-time I still like the concept of burnt in subs which simply cannot be missed or accidentally turned off etc. but yeah I know, I get what you are saying.
Thanks for the response.

Some of my BD9 encodes are a bit too large for my dvd9 media! Did I miss something in the readme file. I have a few that are perfect. I can use overburn on one of my machines and they burn fine, but I cannot play them in my software or hardware players.

snakeman,

These are the ones I'm converting from BD50 3D to BD9 mvc 3d

Thanks

If the conversion has DTS-HD or True-HD (variable bitrate audio) or has enough amount of subtitles remember to use "scan bitrates" button and wait to finish 100% so that the program can calculate the correct bitrate.

Same thing, Do you have old versions available?
Everything dated before May 12, 2017 shows the correct size!
Oops found the older versions! I will report back.
I have tried as far back as 2.6.7 no luck! It could be the size of the movies I guess.

Thanks for all the help,

snakeman

So I mentioned this maybe a year and a half ago, I'm still having the same issue. Sometimes this program works great, other time the video is out of sync as reported by makemkv when I turn it into mkv.

I just did the latest thor movie. completed and then makemkv said their were issues with time sync on the 3d. used dvd fab and no issues reported in makemkv. If I reinstall the video driver that sometimes helps but other times it just isn't doing that movie no matter what. I find most of the times its issues with movies that have subtitles although this movie didn't have subtitles that I needed and still same issue.

Hi Pistacho, for uhd input (mkv output), converting truehd/atmos tracks to flac doesnt seem to be possible. It is for dts-hd ma tracks though. Just wondering why?
