some suggestions:
- connect the container and codec selection or warn the user when a combination is chosen that will cause mencoder to write to another container than selected (mpeg2+mp3+wmv container -> avi(mpeg2+mp3)) - if input par != output par this should be respected during resize - add (auto) crop support - allow users to keep the current resolution - preview for subtitles + font selection might be a good idea - combobox for the audio track selection for streams with multi audio input ... (there are so many features one could add,.. )Cu Selur |

@Selur thanks for suggestions.
Container changes according to selected video codec, but a warning could be shown if user selects a problematic combination. Quote:

I`ll give this a try...
Does this use Nero AAC+ ? as far as i know thats the latest, i usually use HDConvertox `just for audio` then MUX it all together.... as Vidcoder`s AAC isnt as good. cheers. Last edited by DJ-1; 13th February 2012 at 20:58. |

Nice piece of work, pretty fast encoding and good result quality.
But: - a custom resize would be very useful. I mean, I want to convert from 1080p>720p (1280x544/536) and there are only standard sizes for downscaling. I need 1280x544 with "keep aspect ratio-Original". - estimate filesize of converted file would be nice, also, before start the conversion - a pause/resume function/button. Hope you take a look ! |

i think you made a mistake.
![]() should be "Custom" at size, not "Original", and let me chose my desire size. I've made some short tests with "Original", but my "1280x..." custom size and no changes. Format : AVI Format/Info : Audio Video Interleave File size : 61.5 MiB Writing application : MEncoder Sherpya-SVN-r34401-4.6.2 Writing library : MPlayer Video ID : 0 Format : MPEG-4 Visual Codec ID : FMP4 Width : 1 920 pixels Height : 800 pixels Display aspect ratio : 2.40:1 Frame rate : 23.976 fps Color space : YUV Chroma subsampling : 4:2:0 Take a look: ![]() Size should be not Original, but Custom 1280x536. And where is that MPEG4 settings window from previous version? Trellis, Constant Bitrate, ClosedGOP.... Last edited by VoXHD; 19th April 2012 at 21:41. |

Yap, my bad. I got it in the and. It must be choose an approximated Custom size from that list (in my case - 1280x720) and then my size 1280x536 in the boxes below.
Another problem with this Custom resize: it seems to let artefacts after conversion. A green line (that green line...) up the movie screen, and some strange lines at the bottom of the screen: http://i39.tinypic.com/1znq3k0.jpg http://i41.tinypic.com/o8e7hi.jpg http://i40.tinypic.com/2gwrhiw.jpg Last edited by VoXHD; 19th April 2012 at 22:33. |
