Sugestions for improving bad DVD

Help me to process this source:

I'm trying to fix Bible BLack: La noche de Walpurgis. (DVD R1)

It looks TERRIBLE if you ask me.

Right now i cant provide screenshots because my crappy conection does not allows me that. Screenshots for the monday.

First question:

Actually, for me and my eyes, there is no white on this source. All the whites have some kind of cyan painted over.
Using this i was able to find that color and remove it:
tweak (sat=0, startHue=280, endHue=340)

Now the whites are actually white without affecting the other colors. Now using this:
tweak (sat=0.5, startHue=280, endHue=340,interp=31)
the picture looks quite good for me, but i have some artifacts on the objecs (objecs with pixel with those colors i think)
i will provide screen shots on monday.

żIs there anything i can do for remove the annoying cyan tone?

Until now im trying to stay on the YUV space, but if my solution rest on the RGB world i can try.

Second question:

using Tweak(sat=1.3) make the MOST of the colors a little more vivid and pleasant (for me of course), but there are some other colors (the red from the girls's skirts) that look too oversaturated.
żIs that normal ? (some colors saturating more than others) or my source is bad (thats what i think)

I can use tweak again to lower the reds and the overall picture looks good, but maybe there is a better way to handle this kind of sources (maybe not) like some dynamic compressor for chroma or something like that (if you know one solution outside avisynth, say it)

Third:

The sources have a lot of funny colors and irregular borders around objecs (even the frame borders). After reading te guides on then main page i think im in the prescence of:
Rainbow & Dot Crawl (c) (hey it looks like a good name for a video restoring lab)

Apart from the plugins recomended on the guides of the main page, is there any other sugestion?
Even better what you use when you find these deffects on your anime source (remember im dealing with anime here).

Thanks, sorry for the lack of screenshots, the monday i will post them.
I will use image shack.

Edit: i uploaded a cutted sample here:
