5KPlayer or VLC

Hi,
I would like to know your opinion about which player is better for Mac OS X (mavericks 10.9.2) and why?

VLC or 5KPlayer

I know that VLC is a popular free media player to transcode multimedia files and stream video. But in terms of Airplay video, 5KPlayer seems to work more stably and better than VLC. I'm not sure if there is any other difference between the two players.

So your ideas?

Pretty much that. VLC is less terrible. You could use those codecs that plug into QuickTime and makes it play everything. I can't remember the name. QT is not great but at least looks pretty...
