SSS: A new tool for synchronize Sup (Sub/Idx)
######################################
Sub2SubSync (SSS) Version 1.0 Written by iDaMMahoMiLa (iDaMMahoMiLa@gmail.com) Release Date: 2011/08/29 ###################################### *** Introduction *** This tool is for synchronize a sup (sub/idx) with another sup (sub/idx) with same line number. It is a third-party tool for SubtitleCreator v2.3rc1 (Beta), actually. *** Why this tool released? *** Because "Synchronize" tool of SubtitleCreator isn't well-work! So, for synchronizing a sup (sub/idx) with another sup (sub/idx), you should "Save as" both original and synced sup to srt and then synchronize original srt with synced srt. You may use a srt editing tool such as Subtitle Workshop for sync but I warn you, these tools don't keep position and color information that there are in srt. The result of this problem is SSS! *** Instruction *** - Open original sup (sub/idx) in SubtitleCreator v2.3rc1 (Beta) and then Save as "ORG.srt". - Open synced sup (sub/idx) in SubtitleCreator v2.3rc1 (Beta) and then Save as "SYNC.srt". - Copy "org.srt" and "sync.srt" in SSS.EXE directory. - Run "SSS.EXE" in order to application create "OUt.srt". - Copy "OUt.srt" in primary directory of "ORG.srt". - Open "OUT.srt" in SubtitleCreator v2.3rc1 (Beta) and Save as sup (sub/idx). -Enjoy! Note: Example is included in ZIP archive. *** Attention *** The original and synced sup (sub/idx) should have same line number. *** Development *** SSS written in C++ Language and compiled by Borland C++ v3.1. I have not enough time for developing tool! The .CPP source file is included in ZIP archive. *** Author *** This tool written by iDaMMahoMiLa email: iDaMMahoMiLa@gmail.com Release Date: 2011/08/29 Last edited by iDaMMahoMiLa; 29th August 2011 at 22:44. |

Am I missing something?
Does your tool require two conversions Graphics->Text (OCR) and Text->Graphics for each file? Why two conversions, one should be enough, SC can synch a .SRT to a .SUP (obtainable losslessy from a pair of SUB/IDX)? What are the limitations/bugs in the synch procedure of SC?
