Staxrip slower every second

Hi!
Im trying to encode an h265, and Im trying to determine how long I would like to wait.

I tried the slower preset and I gave me 24 hours ETA.
When trying the slow preset, it said 7 hours. Nice.
But as iI'm wathcing, the ETA gets longer every second.

Its been 7 minutes enconding, and it is now saying it will take 15 Hours and 30 mins.

Will it eventually give an accurate ETA? or is it a bug? thank you

Encoding speed is content dependent, so it can never be 100% accurate. However, as it encodes more of the video it tends to converge on a more accurate estimate. If the last bit of the video is very different (like credits, etc.) it can still change a lot even near the end.

It is not a bug, just normal progress bar behavior.

Slower is usually twice as slow as slow but as mentioned it also depends on the content. What kind of CPU do you have?
