Time mismatch between VLC and PowerDVD for a DVD.

Hello,

I am facing an issue using VLC for a DVD. Just recently I noticed a mismatch during playback for a DVD.

I played the DVD on VLC. I played the the same DVD in PowerDVD and this is where I noticed the difference. When I pause at a particular time the two players are playing totally different video frame. I noticed a lag of almost 8 secs (A particular scene in the movie was at 00:00:16 in VLC and at 00:00:24 in PowerDVD). I have played different dvd with the same result. The difference in time is not consistent.

The total run time displayed is same in both the players.

Could anyone please advice me for any possible reason for the same.

Thanks
