still only works for certain mkvs, you still may need to transcode either the video or audio. that is why you would use this program as it checks the files to see if they can just be remuxed or have to be transcoded.

If subtitle support is on the way then how about an option to always transcode if subtitles are detected? The rationale is that if you are letting mkv2vob extract the mkv from a rar, then the user would not know whether or not there is a subtitle track. You might assume the file does not have a subtitle track if the movie is in English but there might be a few scenes where another language is spoken.

AWESOME update 3r1c!
I'm thinking of donating some money your way. I'm waiting for you to update tsmuxer to 1.3.1 - If everything works ok. I could manually update, but id rather wait incase some other program changes are needed to comply with the new version of tsmuxer. |

By the way, does it matter what "output file extension" you use? Last edited by Audioboxer; 24th February 2008 at 02:21. |

Even after having 50GB free HDD, it will continue to say Insufficient Disk Space... , I previously stated it was 8GB but the file is only 6.56GB.
By the way, the file is Queen.Rock.Montreal.1981.720p.BluRay.DTS.x264-CtrlHD, and I've alredy tried Beowulf.2007.DirCut.720p.HDDVD.DTS.x264-ESiR with the same results. Only working file with this version Lost S04E01 720p HDTV DD5.1 x264-CtrlHD |

I recommend you manually convert you DTS audio to AC3 and then run the new AC3 MKV file through MKV2VOB. Read my post on how I done it http://forum.doom9.org/showpost.php?...&postcount=734 |

I will do some actual testing but i just looked over the free disk space code and it looks ok.
Can you tell me how far does it go before it gets to the error. only thing i can think of is it uses the movie time length and maybe this file is reporting a very long time in error. |

and i tested it several times with every possible transcode remux during the latest version and its working perfectly. its possible in the older version it did this, but the method has totally changed in the new version. converting it manually should not be necessary. |

More likely a dodgy MKV file to be fair. It was a tsmuxer build that gave me issues with DTS previously (1.5.2 I think). Im going to run the matrix though this new build of MKV2VOB and see if it's now working 100%. I've not converted any DTS movies since 1.5.2 I think. Just read this, Quote:

Hi,
first of all - great stuff! Now to my problem: I get the same error - 'insufficient disk space' with the new version! I am using XP and a 1TB external drive to store and convert with loads of free space. Is it possible, that the program still uses the TEMP folder on C? The file is 10GB, my free space on C is 25GB. Is there any chance, the program will not need to use the TEMP on C in the future? Many thanks! |
