Using .M2TS files on a Mac

Hi guys

First post here, howdy!

I searched around but couldn't really find an answer to this so any help is appreciated.

I have a load of M2TS files which i want to edit in Final Cut Pro but it seems like a nightmare getting them in to a better (as in to use with FCP) format for editing.

Im looking for a straight forward file converter for M2TS files. I've tried Mpeg stream clip - No joy. Tried Toast 9 - Got it into a .mov file but it was jagged and dropping frames all over the place.

Anyone got any advice?

Thanks
