Hi, how are you? A fantastic little tool you've got here, but I seem to have the same -9000 error. I've individualized my PC, and I can't even load a key from the EZDRM site you linked to as a proof-of-concept test.
Here's my .key version: 11.0.5497.6285 Help?

RE: 9000 error
to follow up on the 9000 error...
the system is individualized as far as I can tell by having used the MS link and sucessfully using the various demos on ezdrm.com. The \Documents and Settings\All Users\DRM\IndivBox.key version is 11.0.5497.6285 |

Yeah, patched
(link)
http://www.engadget.com/2006/08/28/m...ng-fairuse4wm/ 5. If the IBX file version is 11.0.5497.6285 or greater, then the updated IBX is installed Possible Workaround from Engadget I opened my "IndivBox.key" file (for me, it was located in Docs & Settings / All Users / DRM) in ResHacker. Sure enough, there is an entry: VALUE "FileVersion", "10.00.00.3930" Which I changed to: VALUE "FileVersion", "11.0.5497.6285" So it seems that you might be able to continue using this tool, but only if you took advance steps Last edited by dirtminer; 29th August 2006 at 15:15. |

I also get the -9000 error.
My IndivBox.key Version is 11.0.5497.6285 and i'm using Windows Media Player 10 Build 3802. The 'industrial.wmv' does play fine in Windows Media Player, as well as my Coral Reed Adventure DVD. So the keys should be there... Any clues what i can do to get this work? |

See that above:
---> http://www.extremetech.com/article2/...2009666,00.asp Yes, the Windows Media Licensing Department and Microsoft Windows Digital Media Division are patching quicky. LOL. PS: I hope many other programers ( not just only Viodentia and others ) do the job again and help the community in many other times. And I trust it doesn't wait too long for that happens. Good luck, guys !!! Keep going nice !! Thanks. devil (johner) Last edited by johner23; 29th August 2006 at 20:00. |

that it word individual. If you can copy IndivBox.key from another computer that have licenses for some media, DRM will no longer a 'protection sheme'. |

This blog in japanese seems to be pretty up to date about DRM matters (I can't read kanji, I'm just guessing here.) Might be a good site to watch for future entries:

IndivBox.key v11.0.5497.6285
For people who got IndivBox.key v11.0.5497.6285, there are a way to prevent it. Seem to talk once again about WMP v10.0.0.3646
If you have WMP10 v3802 you will get indivbox.key above, but if you still have WMP10 v3646 and never install hotfix KB891122, you are lucky. check drmclien.dll in your system, if you have v10.0.0.3646 that's allright but if you have v10.0.0.3802, when individualization you will get the patched version of Indivbox.key as above. Best of luck. |

When I try to use this it says: Unhandled situation -9000 while Creating Windows Media instance.
When I use good old decryptit it worked though. So how is this different than that and the 2 programs it combines (DrmDbg and drm2wmv)? And how com Microsoft reacted to this program so quickly and ignored those programs that have been out for over a year (well 6 months for decryptit)? If I made those programs, I'd be pretty insulted at being ignored by Microsoft. Last edited by heat84; 30th August 2006 at 06:41. |

When I try to convert any of my files I get variations of the following:
UNABLE TO DECRYPT: Error reading 5976 bytes (5884) at offset 2559477 in file I am using WMP11 version 11.0.5358.4826 and the version of IndivBox.key is 11.0.5352.6163. I have successfully tried a demo file and made sure that my system is individualized and that the files play ok in WMP. Any ideas? Brumfondl |
