A comparison between VP8 and x264

Hi all,

Your VP8 encode overshot the bitrate by 30 % (2614 kbps instead of 2000), so that's not really surprising.

The comparison would also be more interesting if you included slow, high-quality x264 settings. HandBrake's High Profile preset is still pretty fast, comparable to the medium preset in x264 CLI.
