from 1440x1080 23.976p into a 1440x1080 29.97 file with 3:2 pulldown

Hi guys i am after a solution to taking a 1440x0180 23.976p file and turning it into a 1440x1080 29.97 file with 3:2 pulldown. No need for audio i will be encoding that seperatly.

i would like it to be in x264 or H.264 with the output settings as follows in either *.avc, *.h264 or *.264 container :

Codec : x264/ H.264
frame size: 1440 x 1080
frame rate: 23.976, (29.97 fps with 3:2 pulldown)
aspect ratio: 16:9 Display
bitrate: constant, 16.00 Mbps
profile : High
Level : 4.1

there is no software that can do this so i am left to be doing so in command lines. I have read that there is h264info and command line is --pulldown 32. But i am not familiar with h264 and command line. i will be frameserving the file that i wish to do the 3:2 pulldown in *.avi.

If it is easier to do with some gui's like megui please let me know how thanks.

Can someone please explain how to do this ? would be greatly appriciated. Thanks.

I have downloaded x264info using the gui and have layed out the settings i think are correct. From premier pro i have exported the 1440x1080 23.976p file ( *.264 ). And with that i will load it into x264info and use the settings i have used in the picture uploaded. i think thats my best option. do you guys think that work flow will work ?? or am i going about it wrong ??

Before i give ideas on this, i'd like to ask this:

Why would you want to apply pulldown in the first place, in other words; What is the reason to have to do this ? Please describe what your source is, and what you are trying to achieve/realize for that source. I see something about .AVI, wich isn't the best container for H264/AVC streams. When you describe in detail what you want to do, there might be people that can advise to get to your goal in another way (other container perhaps for instance).

For instance;
I only have experience with one 1440x1080p source; Wich is BBCHD. And they encode their stream as MBAFF, anamorphic @ 25fps. If you are speaking of such a source, than you should never have arrived @ 23.976 fps in the first place.

Thanks for the replies.

Ok i tried my method and it worked !! perfectly. besiclly i make short films with my hv20 and it shoots at 23.976p. I want to make avchd disks from the footage. when i made a 23.976p avchd disks the footage was very choppy and did not run very well, but when i made an interlaced 50i/60i avchd disks it ran perfectly on my pannasonic BD50. so i figured if i could make 23.976p into an 29,97 interlaced ( with 3:2 pulldown ) it would run smooth. and it did

as i have both PAL/NTSC HV20, i shoot 50i/60i and 23.976p.
