How do I Convert Chapter Files to Millisecond Format?
It seems that chapter files are saved in this format by most video editors such as VideoRedo: 00:00:00:20 with the last 2 digits being the frame number.
However I'm trying to make a BluRay with multiAVCHD and it uses the millisecond format like this: 00:00:00:00.000 and if I import my chapter file it doesn't start each chapter at exactly the right spot. It seems that just about every authoring program uses that format as well. It's OK if my chapter files don't start at exactly the right spot, however I also save another chapter file and use that for my thumbnails where I get the same problem but for thumbnails. Does anyone know of a program or online tool that will convert frames into milleseconds? |

How about a calculator?
![]() 00:00:00:20 would be 00:00:00.834 (Assuming 23.976 framerate of your source video). Just divide the number of frames by the framerate: 20/23.976 = 0.834167500... and round: .834 Simple as that... It probably wouldn't be to hard to create an Excel doc to do the conversion for you if you have to a lot of them... |

If you output edit points/scene markers from VRD as frame numbers, then ChapterGen will convert to mAVCHD format. |
