ATI's menu is a bitch like that you might have to switch it back and forth a few times before the app realizes it is in theater mode as well.. |

So I have a bunch of files that result in a blocky mess with DXVA turned on, and I'm not entirely sure why thats the case. I would love if it would work right or just default to software mode for these cases. I uploaded a clip if people here would like to investigate why this is happening: http://download.yousendit.com/D48CFC7E03554E57
This is with an ATI 3870. Also, I know I've mentioned it a few times already and I hate to sound like a broken record, but I'd really love this as a standalone filter. |

I believe I have zeroed in on a bug. Please pardon if this has been reported already.
It appears, when using EVR-custom presenter w/Direct3D fullscreen, whenever I seek forward or back, in either DVD or MKV (x264), the CPU usage jumps to around 50-60% and the audio goes out of sync. I discovered this as I've been trying to get Reclock working right. It doesn't seem to matter if I use Reclock or not and whether I have the ATI CCC running or not. Normal playback CPU utilization (for both ffDshow and the built-in decoder) is below 15%. I have tried with the other renderers and the problem also exists with VMR9 renderless if I choose Direct3D fullscreen. Perhaps a clue? I have an ATI HD2600XT running 8.2 CCC and driver. I have my monitor (LG 37" 1080P) set for 1080@24Hz. All sources I'm playing are 23.976fps with either AC3 or DTS audio streams, using Spdifer for pass through. |

to get back on the binding options.
if you have a Logitech mouse, you can use this thing, which is a hack of the original XML scripts : http://www.mstarmetro.net/users/rlowens/uberOptions/ you can bind anything on anything, and for each program separately...and no additional resident app! works like a treat with MPC HC |

Well I found System Default renderer let's theater mode work. And it is working in more than overlay mixer mode than because saving images work than. So that seems to work fine. I really don't see what use EVR mode is good for because no secondary display works at all with that mode so found it totally useless to my needs and curious why anyone would want to use it?

MatMaul's 404 build (which was built with sdk 35) is playing normal speed for me with evr custom pres. I get about 10 frames a second with your 403/421 build somehow. Thanks for all you people with your work. |

can we PLEASE release on something other than rapidshare? It's pretty dreadful. Megaupload or any of the other free file hosters are typically much better.

I currently have MPC-HC setup nicely to play .MKV files using Haali and CoreAVC and SPDIFER in the external filters. .AVI files use ffdshow and SPDIFER. VC-1 files using Matroska container player nicely with Haali, WMVdecoder and AC3FILTER, etc. .EVO defaulted to Zoom Player (since it was not setup in MPC-HC) and played with Haali, WMVdecoder but no sound decoder at all. When I changed the .EVO default to MPC-HC, it played the audio only but no video screen at all. Thanks for any and all assistance ! PS I don't see "MPEG TS/PS" in any list.

For Theater Mode (mirroring), typically, enable it for display 1 and leave it in Standard Mode for display 2. With XP, the default renderer is VMR7 windowed and that is also the best (so either leave set to System Default or to be certain set to VMR7 windowed). Old Renderer may result in same but as it varies should be probably be avoided.
Clone mode results may differ but Extended is essentially required for practical purposes when the displays have different resolutions. Also, mirroring is disallowed by BD/HD DVD so the player must be moved to the second display to view there. Overlay Mixer = quality issues (see film ratings text, for example) VMR7 (windowed) = good VMR9 (windowed) = no picture VMR7 (renderless) = no DxVA, no mirroring VMR9 (renderless) = no mirroring Haali's Video Renderer = no DxVA, no mirroring EVR (Vista / .NET3) = no DxVA, no mirroring (if it even works) EVER Custom Pres. = no picture |

EVR Custom Presenter (available so far only in MPC-HC) solves all problems with tearing, shuddering and other playback anamolies. Home Theater PCs are used with an HD LCD TV as the main (primary display).
