BD Rebuilder and creating a disc with files... not from a BD

I am looking to create a BD with 12 titles, which I have made from VHS tapes. I am not looking to take a previous BD and work with that. Any and all assistance is greatly appreciated. I am not interested in BDedit as that looks very comples.

For my BD, all I want to do is add the files and add a main menu with a list of titles, along with my own custom menu background image. I really think that this should be quite simple, but so far I have had issues. I add my files with "Import" and select a background image of my own for the disc.

I am not creating chapters on the main menu for each title. I have a nice background and just need links to each program on the main menu.

When I load the BDMV folders into VLC, I do see the image I created for this menu, but the links to each program on the menu simply are not there. My image is a 1920x1080 jpg image.

I would suspect that this should be pretty straight forward. Can I only create a BDMV folder from a previous Blu-ray or DVD structure, or is it possible to do this from scratch like I am attempting to do here?

I have looked at the HIDDENOPTS.TXT and the BDREBUILDER.INI but I have no idea which options I need to use for this very basic blu-ray structure and I have made several attempts to create BDMV but so far have been unsuccessful. With VLC I can access the titles listed and can access them from the "Playback" option in VLC, but again, the main menu shows no links to the programs at all.

My concern is I would burn the blu-ray, pop it into my bluray player and have a main menu and no way to access the titles. All 12 of them can be played, but again, not from the main menu.

If someone here has exprerience builing a simple blu-ray structure like this I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
