The Tech Report benchmarks dual socket Nehalem Xeon systems
Hey all,
The Tech Report has done some benchmarking of the new dual-socket compatible Xeon processors based on the Nehalem micro architecture! http://techreport.com/articles.x/16656/1 They even have an x264 benchmark, albeit using a very old build (819). Even without all the recent Nehalem optimizations, it absolutely demolishes the competition. Quite interesting! I'd like 30 servers, 2u, with 6x 3.5" hot-swap SATA/SAS drive bays please! ~MiSfit
