I am having a new issue. I am trying to rip a 3D movie, "Monsters University" to a TAB-MKV. It seems to go as expected until it gets to step 2/3. Then it just hangs at this message:
"[Step 2/3 - X264 CRF] Recode video using x264, single pass CRF..." I have let it run for hours and even overnight now. I even rebooted the machine. It just sits there at that step whether I use the original BR disk or the ISO I made from it. It never gives me an error and never produces an error log that I am aware of. The option is greyed out. It just sits at that stage and does nothing. Any ideas what could cause this? Could it be related to the latest Windows updates from this past Tuesday? Thank you! |

OK, I have just tried ripping Jurassic World 3D. That is a disk I previously ripped successfully.
I am getting the exact same behavior. It never gives me an error. It never times out. There is no activity on the BD-ROM drive at the same point it did this with the other disk: "[Step 2/3 - X264 CRF] Recode video using x264, single pass CRF..." I have no idea what is happening....

Thanks for the suggestion!
It is not enabled however. I use entirely the default settings at this point. I even reset them as per Pistachio's suggestion. The only thing I have changed is the default "Preferred Media". I set it to "MKV (CRF Mode)". Screenshot attached. PS: I enabled "x264 OpenCL acceleration" and I'm trying it again to see if it helps! Last edited by KaraokeAmerica; 18th December 2015 at 01:52. |

Hi
Been using this for a while to convert 3d mvc to recoded m2ts for playing on sammy tv. Been working great and I've done plenty of titles. Have discovered three though that I just can't get to work. They appear to recode fine and finish in BdtoAVCHD. However, when i play them back they will reach a certain point (different in each case), pixelate badly and then crash the tv. It's not possible to fast forward beyond the pixellation point. Normally I adjust bitrate to be close to original but I've tried it using the BD25 calculated bitrate and default settings and it makes no difference (in fact the crash point tends to come earlier). One thing I have noticed is that in these files the AVC stream is only a bit higher than the MVC file (e.g. 12gb AVC, 10gb MVC) - normally the difference is more exaggerated on those that have worked fine. My question is, is there any way of not using quick sync and still do a 3D MVC conversion? Or perhaps use software rather than hardware? I know I could try SBS but all other films are in MVC format. Thank you....great programme btw, it's invaluable :-) |

How does a Samsung TV play MVC via Plex app, but Plex app itself can't play MVC? Sorry for all the questions......like I said, I'm trying to learn! |

Your question about plex though I can answer now, it will only play in 3D frame-packed MVC when it direct plays (so the audio has to be DTS or AC3) - i.e. Plex just hands over the file to the TV. If you select transcoding, it changes to 2D straight away. You will find that if you put an m2ts file on a memory stick and put it in a recent Samsung TV that it will play that file in 3d fine as well. |

I'm having issues encoding The Martian 3D to TAB MKV (or SBS). It hangs on encoding. I think its avs2yuv that isnt serving any frames to the encoder. It works fine on other titles, like Pixels 3D.
I have tried 2.5.1 and the new 2.5.2 with the same issue. all I get in the x264 windows is: Quote:

Try to play .avs script (located in temp folder) with VirtualDub or MPC-HC to find out if it's a Avisynth/source problem or x264/encoding problem. |
