Actually the H.264/AVCHD-Encoder with good results?

Hello.

I want videos as efficiently as possible encode.
I need H.264/AVCHD?!
But what software encodes the most effective?
X.264? Yes ? It has a terrible usability. Complicated an dificult freeware must be used?! Or?

Thanks...

If you don't like a particular x264 graphical interface, there are dozens to choose from. It's rather obnoxious to tar x264 just because you don't like some specific frontend.

h.264 is a standard for video compression.
x264 is a software (encoder) that implements (a big part of) the h.264 standard.
AVCHD is a format for "the recording and playback of high definition video" that's based on the h.264 standard (for video)

Yes, I know that x.264 one of many solutions is h.264.

I thought e.g. MeGUI.
Only error messages, no encoding.
For example as simple as the DivX encoding.
A few important preferences, and end.

Is there a simple interface for x.264 AVCHD?
I can use AVCHD also encode PAL (567i or 576p is one of the "HD" resolution). "

MeGUI is by far the most capable (and thus the most complex) x264 GUI there is. If you're looking for something simple, why not pick one of the dozens of ones that aren't designed for power users, like Ripbot264?

@Tobias: maybe you should have a look at the wiki, use the forum search function and read some guides. that's it...
megui was not made to be simple...

There are a combination of different GUI's available. You may like something such as Handbrake or Ripbot or any of the plethora of different gui's available in our designated section if you are unable to use MeGUI.
