One click solution for MPEG4 encoding?

Hi

Is there any free one click encoding solutions available for making MPEG4 clips?

In my case, I'm looking to encode a simple AVI clip taken with my digital camera for youtube.

well "one click" is a definition of easy-to-use applications... I just tried the MeGUI application and quite frankly, from a user friendly "just-want-to-open-my-video-file-and-convert-it-to-MPEG4" perspective it's quite hopeless. There isn't even an option to open an existing video file. So I'm just wondering if there's any easier, free apps available?

I just read this thread where a "one click" guide has been made... and it's 80 pages! Somewhere on page 1, the one click got lost...

@masken:

also, "i just want to..." does not exists. you have two choices: to learn or not.
everything in the world works like that...

Off the top of my head, I can think of Handbrake and Avidemux. They are about as close to one click as you can get. Personally, I am not a fan of MeGUI (I think the interface is poorly designed). AutoMKV is a nice alternative to MeGUI.

@lych_necross, yeah I also found HandBrake which is very promising! But it turned out that it either cannot handle mono audio as input, or I've got a codec/filter issue.

If you don't want something complex like MeGUI, use something simple like Ripbot264.

It's really not hard folks: if you don't want something complicated, don't use something complicated.

Turned out that HandBrake had a known bug/limitation, it doesn't handle pcm_u8 audio.

Tried Ripbot264 and get the error message inside Media Player Classic:

getinfo.avs
I don't know what "audio" means
E:\temp\Ripbot264temp\job1\getinfo.avs, line 3)
