Lossless codec/container compatible with Windows and OSX
I'm looking for a way to demonstrate video quality to remote users without requiring them to install a load of software tools. Which lossless formats are portable and popular across Mac and Windows (and Linux too, perhaps)?
I can only think of Lagarith and H.264 lossless, but are there other compressed lossless formats? |

I think that ffvhuff and FFV1 are more popular than Lagarith.
They can be encoded/decoded with ffmpeg/mencoder. Lagarith can be encoded with vfw codec(windows only), and lavc's Lagarith decoder is still experimental. If it is a clip that is encoded with ffmpeg, everyone will be able to play it. Because Mac/Linux user might be installing VLC or MPlayer. and x264lossless will be more suitable for the purpose than the others.
