How much useful deblock=1:-3:-3 for animation movies?
What kind of animations should use & should not? Could you show some test results with errors & without errors? What other settings do I have to change for deblock=1:-3:-3?

The lines between "animation" and other stuff have blurred a lot since x264 introduced --preset animation. Even line drawn style animation can have a lot of CGI and other sorts of elements. And CGI animation is quite different than cel-style.
Saying "animation" isn't very informative; it's best to be quite specific as to style. |

One preset is not going to fit your needs here. Sorry. You're going to have to experiment to see what fits your use cases. |
