Just follow the previous instructions to determine what it is. I don't know the movie, so I can't be more specific. Like I said before, I've seen plenty with 0% Film which IVTC'd nicely. If this is a new film, then maybe there's a lot of progressive 30fps material in it, which would make it a real hybrid. I just don't know, not having worked with it, but hybrids present their own set of problems.

@manono: there is a newer release of GK (0.35), which has another deinterlace options (your great manual was updated in 2003).

Which option should I use to achive the best quality ? The speed is secondary ...

(I know that this isn't so simple, but if you have to choose from those which you choose ?)

Code:
Option                           Avisynth script
-------------------------------------------------------
Kernel Deinterlace           -   KernelDeInt(order=1,sharp=true)
Field Deinterlace            -   FieldDeinterlace()
Field Deinterlace (no blend) - FieldDeinterlace(blend=false)
Smart Bob (fast)             -   DGBob(order=1,mode=0)
TomsMoComp                   -   TomsMoComp(1,5,1)
I have a PAL DVD source (Married with Children - Season 01), which has poorly interlaced (like you were writing in your manual )
Thanx
