Sar dar par vlc/mpv

Hi,
I've a MKV with this video stream inside:

Code:
Stream #0:0: Video: h264 (High), yuv420p(tv, smpte170m/bt470bg/bt709, progressive), 680x584 [SAR 49348:34425 DAR 676:405], SAR 487:340 DAR 487:292, 25 fps, 25 tbr, 1k tbn (default)
with VLC/MPV If I:
  • take a screenshot I obtain images with: 974w x 584h
  • play the video I see that the frame is 974w x 584h

Why the screenshots and play aren't 680x584?
Where do these numbers come from: 974w x 584h?
Thanks!

sample aspect ratio (SAR) isn't 1:1, therefore SAR(=487/340)*680=974
