Problem adding subtitles to a Blu-ray that doesn't have subtitles

I'm trying to add subtitles to a series that only had Japanese audio.
I created the .sup file with easySUP. Once created, I multiplexed it along with the original audio and movie using txmuser, as a Blu-ray folder. Once I had the 7 folders (there are 7 episodes), I renamed the .clpi and .m2ts files to replace them with their corresponding names from the original.
Then, using BDEdit, I found the playlist of episodes in 0000.m2ts, and in STN, I added the subtitle to each episode with pid 1200, m apply to clpi and save (images 1 and 2).

When I test the Blu-ray, it doesn't behave like the original. Let me explain.

The original starts with the opening ads and then goes straight to the first episode (all this was tested on Blu-ray with Leawo Blu-ray Player), and from there I can access the menu. However, the modified Blu-ray, once it finishes the opening ads, goes directly to the menu. When I try to select any episode, the screen goes black for 5 seconds and then returns to the menu, so I can't watch the episodes.

I would appreciate the help of experts to solve my problem.
Regards

Hi, most likely you have an incompatibility between the original mpls and the clpi and m2ts files created in Tsmuxer, especially since IGmenu is also present in this mpls, it's easier to disassemble this disc in Scenarist or Kite and add subtitles to them.

Thanks for your reply, taurusus.

I also noticed that in each chapter's MPLS file, the IG menu appeared in the PLAYLIST subpath section.

But I checked and it also appears in each chapter of the original Blu-ray.

I suppose this is what we're both referring to.

With this clarification, do you still think Scenarist or KIDE is the best option? Or could something else be done to the modified Blu-ray?

It takes a long time to figure out what the error is without being able to check it yourself, and it will take 30 minutes to rebuild everything in Kite. Upload the original blu-ray and subtitles to the file sharing site.

Although it's been a while, due to work and other reasons, I'm replying now.

Thanks, @Taurusus, for the answer. Kite solved the problem, and I was able to add the subtitles to the Blu-ray.

Regards, Lucho
