x86 vs x64 Avisynth

Simply put: Am I going to see a dramatic performance improvement using x64 Avisynth rather than x86 Avisynth?

I'm running an i7-2600k @ 4.6 GHz, using MeGUI right now which uses avs4x264mod to pipe data from 32-bit avisynth to 64-bit x264.

Is the 64-bit version still supported? I've heard that a lot of filters were never coded for 64-bit Avisynth, and never will be. I tried using it for a short time a while back and recall issues even using the built in resize filters in the 64-bit version of Avisynth.
