Blurring in video around high motion in scenes

Hello all, first time poster here. I have been working with StaxRip and Hybrid for a couple of months now after handbrake and FFMPEG just weren't giving me the output I wanted. I'm loving the use of QTGMC as a deinterlacer for my dvd collection. I have an issue I have been trying everything I can think of to remove. I have attached pics, input and output video, and script I have been using in StaxRip.

There seems to be some type of blurring effect around the snowboarder in motion in some scenes. Haloing or ghosting, not sure what exactly it is or what it results from. It happens with both progressive input to output and interlaced input to deinterlaced output. I have included clips of both.
