Oh sorry, I was only passing by and wondering if I should upgrade, being on 0.51b6
But I would draw some conclusion from
https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=135561
maybe Post #17, Playlist -> STN -> PlayItem
If I find time I will look through what I have got multi-angle.
Ratatouille has beeen mentioned, (papers, recipes, inscriptions appearing in different languages matching the preferences).

IIRC it was just the choice of playlist which swapped the other stream in.
And the DVD-A BD multiangle test projects I had muxed did it similar IIRC.
For a fulltime 9-angle project I had 9 .m2ts of similar length laying in STREAM folder.
m2ts makes it rather simple compared to DVD-Multiangle where the VOB indeed had to be muxed interleaved.

Just checked Ratatouille:
At certain points in the timeline playlist 00001.mpls splits into 3 angles
and can swap stream segments of same length in:
inscriptions, paper tearouts in FR,IT,DE.
This is for non-seamless, I guess.

Does anyone know if the latest Version can convert BD V2 to BD V3 (UHD) files (playlists, clipinf, ...)

It seems there is no resonable priced UHD authoring software so I thought of doing a BD in MultiAVCHD and replace the streams with UHD from TSMuxeR. But then I have a mixture auf BD V2 and BD V3 files besides the wrong filesizes (which could be corrected with BDEdit).

Conversion of BD v2.00 to v3.00

The UHD BD is a different version (3.00) of the BD-ROM standard and this version needs extra extensions for the UHD info.

The first step is you need a Disc-info extension in the index.bdmv then for every PlayItem you need HDR metadata in the corresponding mpls’ extension.
After those you have to change the STN table video stream properties and the clipinfo properties too.
Also need to change all the version numbers from 2.00 to 3.00 in the bdmv, mpls, clpi and bdjo files.

The latest version of BDedit adds the Disc-info extension to the ndex.bdmv and the HDR metadata extensions to the mpls files and changes the version number in all files.

What you need to do manually is changing the video properties in the STN table, then apply the changes to the CLPI files.

The feature was never tested I need feedback to improve/finish this function.

Great work, I tried with old version of tsMuxer to create Blu-Ray v2.00 structure from UHD disc, tested 3 titles, after mux I used new option in BDedit to convert v.2.00 to v3.00, I set manually Table STN HDR, BT 2020 and CLPI file changes.
Titles work with HDR10.

You can copy and paste an existing mpls, rename it and use it.
It is faster (and more reliable) than create a blank one and fill it up with data. You also has to create a corresponding clpi file too.

Can you test with an existing JAVA based bluray?

Making a IG/Blank bluray structure HDR/DV compatible was already possible. (Obviously with this new added function now is just perfect)

So the main challenge for this function is bringing back to life and making old java 1080p blurays compatible with new UHD HDR/DV releases.

Hi AVX, in the java structure, BDedit only modifies the *.bdjo files inside the folder with the same name, leaving the JAR folder intact.

With java programming the CERTIFICATE folder is also important, I tried with a title simulating manually (modifying the files with hexadecimal editor bringing them to v2.00) using BDedit after to bring the files to v 3.00, and everything works.

If you have other ideas how to try, please leave me your opinion.

I'm happy to test it with my current projects.

I was also experimenting with a modified version of tsMuxer to create BDv3 files by default but I'm having issues with compiling a proper Windows version at all.

Hi, tested Casino Royal (2006) BD

Converted the Java BD to UHDBD with BDEdit
Replaced main stream, clpi and mpls with Tsmuxer
Replaced 200 in id.bdmv of CERTIFICATE folder with 300 via hex editor.

The result is a black screen in the disc loading step.
If i use original CERTIFICATE , a play button appears on top right corner and then black screen but nothing else.
I do not get a loading error tho like i used to.

Some BDs load when using BDEdit's conversion, others do not. But i still cannot get HDR

@AVX

I tried 3 titles with HDMV menus, converting from v2.00 to 3.00 with BDedit, and they all worked with HDR 10.
Casino Royal 2006 I have this title, so I can test it, but obviously the functionality from v2.00 to v3.00 is new, there may be some fixes on some titles to be made.

Have you changed the video stream properties?
It should be HEVC, 2160p, HDR10 or HDR10+, and BT.2020
There is s new checkbox at the end of the video properties line, if you check it the changes you made will apply to all PlayListItem.

I only use tsmuxer to generate UHD HDR clpi, mpls and m2ts for the main film.
I could change if directly in BDEdit but i always use TSMUXER to get perfectly compatible files.

In this case (Casino Royale JAVA 1080p BD) after converting the structure to v3 with BDEdit, the BD did not properly load in my dedicated player (got a black screen and that is not a loading disc error) so i could not really test if the film displayed HDR metadata correctly.

Where is the check button again?

Just download BDedit from the same link to get the latest version (0.54b8 at this moment).
The new checkbox is handy when you have more then one PlayListItem in your PlayList.

I see it now thanks!

I will test with 3 more JAVA BDs, to see if at least i can load the menus after BDEdit's conversion, on my OPPO/DUNE/ZIDOO player.
