Maybe TrueHD is disabled in the codecs section?

It does not support TrueHD that contains Atmos.

You should replace the outdated obsolete ffdshow with LAV Filters.

Are you sure because I have no problem with 6ch TrueHD? This for example works fine:

Quote:
Audio
ID : 2
Format : E-AC-3 JOC
Format/Info : Enhanced AC-3 with Joint Object Coding
Commercial name : Dolby Digital Plus with Dolby Atmos
Codec ID : A_EAC3
Duration : 53 min 56 s
Bit rate mode : Constant
Bit rate : 768 kb/s
Channel(s) : 6 channels
Channel layout : L R C LFE Ls Rs
Sampling rate : 48.0 kHz
Frame rate : 31.250 FPS (1536 SPF)
Compression mode : Lossy
Stream size : 296 MiB (3%)
Language : English
Service kind : Complete Main
Default : Yes
Forced : No
Complexity index : 16
Number of dynamic objects : 15
Bed channel count : 1 channel
Bed channel configuration : LFE
PS: yes LAV does play the TrueHD ok however the channel mixer does not work. changing the mix level of center and surround changes nothing...

Mixer in LAV works fine. Those settings are for downmixing only.

So there is no way to decrease center and surround mix relative to LFE if input is 5.1 and output is same?
ffdshow custom matrix can do it when you set a channel to a fraction instead of "1". This is what I need. Its the only thing I need. 5.1 and 7.1 to 5.1 with all channels except LFE decreased so that I can get more LFE.

Use something like Equalizer APO to boost low frequencies.

Or if you prefer obsolete software, use ffdshow audio processor filter instead of the decoder filter.

Equalizer APO is system wide. I need it only for MPC-HC.

I have ffdshow audio processor but when I turn off ffdshow decoder it loads LAV instead. ffdshow processor does not appear next to the windows clock to be configured. Im not sure how to get it going. This is the setup in MPC:
