Replacing a section of the video

I want to copy a specific section from two videos of the same length and content.

Video A: High quality, with a time signal in the upper left corner
Video B: Medium quality, no time signal

In this case, I want to use Video A as the base and replace the section containing the upper left time signal with the corresponding section from Video B.
How can this be achieved?

Assuming they have the same size and no color differences: Crop the lower quality one to the just represent the part you want to cover up, use Overlay to replace the part.
(Alternatively use masked merge and create a mask that only covers the timer and replace the timer area in the high quality version with the masked version from the low quality one,....)
Otherwise using InpaintDelogo (or ProPainter through Vapoursynth) might produce better results,...

Thank you for your reply.
I'm looking for a method to replace the video from another source, not just blurring it like InpatientDelogo, considering other cases besides the time signal.
I tried using an overlay, but the color changed when I overlaid it, and I couldn't figure out how to overlay it without changing the color.
If you know of a way to overlay only one section without changing the color, could you please let me know?

Share how you used overlay, someone might be able to tell you what you did wrong,..
Share two snippets of your clips (same length etc.) and someone might be willing to write an example,...
InpaintDelogo should not just blur, assuming you use it correctly.

I apologize.
I mistakenly believed that the overlay video and the video being overlaid must be the same size.
After cropping the overlay video and applying the overlay, I was able to cleanly replace just one section.
Thank you for your advice.

I would use my NLE, not AVISynth.
