Yes, but do not go beyond the size of this label if you do not want to edit class files in the jar.

I managed to successfully edit the menu, thank you for your help! Now, I'm trying to do it with an IGS menu, but I'm unable to find Scenarist anywhere for my Photoshop CC. Any help?

Hello.

I'm having a problem with a popup menu for the Lionsgate movie Civil War.

The main menu is a *png that is in the JAR folder and can be modified without problem. However, I can't find a way to edit the pop-up menu.

I have checked all the classes in the Jar file and I don't see any that contain the popup menu.

Any suggestions?

Thank you.

Hi palestina, if you have Blu-ray check ba.class, if UHD check bb.class.

It was where you indicated..

I looked through the classes looking for "the old structure" and didn't see it.

Thank you so much.

Hello.

Has anyone tried to modify the Back to Black menu (GBR version)?

It is an IGS menu but with some peculiarities that seem strange to me.

Thanks.

Hi palestina, I checked the menu you mentioned, with bdedit you can only edit 00015.m2ts, but not 00005.m2ts and 00008.m2ts.
Is this correct?

That's correct.

If you try to edit clpi 5 and 8 with BDedit they appear "empty".

But if you open clpi 15 and select a png to edit, it "appears" automatically in 5 and 8 but without the option to save. It just shows it to you.

I don't know if I'm explaining myself... but it's a strange situation that I've never encountered before.

I've tried to modify a part of clpi 15 (pop-up menu) but the modification doesn't appear after doing the "mux".

The truth is that I'm a little confused.

I get it, we need to see if the menu is buggy, or if it's BDedit that can't work with it.

I think the menu structure is like this originally. I've used several versions in case it was a copy error and the same "problem" occurred in all of them.

We may start seeing menus like this and I really don't know how to fix them.

I'd provide some feedback, but I have no idea what you all are talking about.

Hi palestina. Only the Scenarist or Kite will help here, they have an IGEditor.

Hey guys, I'de been looking for a tool to re-sign jar files besides anydvd hd < 6.8 and after signing an entire bluray using the hdcookbook tools and not having it work on my hardware player I was getting frustrated.
I'm not sure why it didn't work as I was replacing all the certificate files app.discroot.crt bu.discroot.crt and id.bdmv.
All I can think is I was messing something up somewhere along the way but I didn't have a software based player that enforced certificates so the process of testing each change was too tedius to continue.
I reached out to the author of xreveal and he was able to put together an adhoc tool that you can use to sign jar files of discs ripped using xreveal or anydvdhd.
I am not 100% certain, but it might work on rips from other tools.
I just don't know if it is merely using the app.discroot.crt certificate to do the signing, or if it relies on the same root ca (which is perhaps embedded in the anydvd/xreveal programs?).

The requirement is that you have a JAR file with a META-INF folder that contains MANIFEST.MF SIG-BD00.SF and SIG-BD00.RSA.
It appears that the tool updates all files, and perhaps uses the existing fields in the SIG-BD00.RSA along with those from the app.discroot.crt.
The generated JAR files worked perfectly on my hardware player.

He has uploaded the tool to https://xreveal.com/download/signbdj.exe
And the invocation is the following.
"signbdj.exe app.discroot.crt 44444.jar"
If you are looking for this feature I suggest you also check out xreveal and also offer support for the author of this great free tool!

One other note on modifying jar class files.
I found that using RECAF 4 was very good.
Recompiled files don't work as they target JAVA version 8.0 language specification.
For whatever reason my hardware player could only recognize java version 3.0.
As such you need to make changes using JAVA assembly then save the file and export.
This preserves the JAVA version 3.0.
RECAF has a bunch of tools to translate JAVA into JAVA ASM which you can then copy into the assembly listing so it makes it pretty easy.

Hi guys

Maybe i´m late to the party, but the way to modify those m2ts menus is:

Demux with bdreauthor
Load the *ies file on igeditor and change the png of the menu
Save the modified *ies with igeditor
Import in scenarist: video, Audio and the *ies file of the menu
Run the mux

Kudos to @ocean, helped me out in the past.

I'd also like to edit a menu from a disc that I created using Encore. It has hundreds of individual clips on it, so I don't want to re-author the entire thing (I just used proxy-encodes in Encore and replaced them later with proper encodes), but there are two buttons in the menu that I'd like to edit, because I did a mistake. I found them in BDedit, saved the PNGs and the palette and I can easily edit them in Photoshop - but unfortunately I don't have Scenarist Designer PS, so I can't save them the way they have to be saved.

Can somebody help me please? I can easily provide the original PNGs, edited PNGs from Photoshop as well as the palette, all I need is for them to be saved in the correct format.

Hi Thaddaus. You need to extract all PNGs from the Blu-ray that use the same palette as the ones you edited. From there you'd process the set of images using PNG Quantizer. (See "Steps 4-6" of my post, here.) The resulting copy of images PNG Quantizer generates will be compliant for use with HDMV based Blu-ray's, each image in the set containing the same color palette, all images being 8-bit indexed PNGs. The last step is to load the updated set of images to BDedit from the Objects tab of the given menu replacing the original objects and palette.

Thanks!
I've been able to load the PNGs into BDedit, but after clicking on "Mux" it's just not reacting anymore and the blue circle is just spinning round and round. Guess it takes a bit of time to recompile the m2ts with so many individual buttons?!

EDIT: Hmm... well it seems that BDedit crashes at some point. The menu hasn't been changed though and it's still the old m2ts and clpi

EDIT2: Could it be that it crashes, because my menu has a motion background and audio and not just the IG-elements?

I'm working on a menu at present which contains 231 objects. All objects use the same palette in this case. No issues loading a new set and muxing out when needed. Takes just a couple seconds.

If you provide me a copy of the menu in BDedit's *.mnu format along with the set of PNG's you're loading prior to muxing out I can give it a shot if you like. Are you using an older version of BDedit perhaps?
