Colorimetry
I've been using MediaInfo since the beginning, So there is this colorimetry which in most videos I've seen is 4:2:0
So what is this? what does it tell?

Oh come on. Wikipedia redirects you for "4:2:0" to the right page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/4:2:0

4:2:0 is not a type of colorimetry. However, the meaning of YUV X:X:X notation is explained in this post by TinTime: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.ph...41#post1310741
Colorimetry is a broad term related to various sciences that study color perception, explained by Wikipedia at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colorimetry You might also see people refer to the RGB->YUV constants used in digital video referred to as the "colorimetry" of the video. This is explained at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Color_m...hnical_details Last edited by thewebchat; 23rd September 2009 at 02:49. |
