Additional video decoder, and in particular H264 and VC1 with DXVA2 support (see specific section for details)
Doesn't show in MPC options (HC), did I miss something?

They are just really bad reencodes: low quality, low bitrate (3Mbps), non compliant, who knows what wacky settings. They are not particularly demanding for software-only decode though -especially given you have an HD3870 so must have a decent CPU too. So, if the practical problem is how to avoid having to disable DxVA to watch the bad files you already have then perhaps enable the "store settings to INI" option in MPC and plunk a copy of the program in a different folder to use different settings.

Not necessarily. Many use two displays so full-screen playback is maintained on the TV while being able to do other visual tasks on the other (typically smaller PC monitor) -i.e. read imdb or check on a download, and so on

oh,Maybe.My computer using VISTA.It only works when I set to Overlay render.In CCC's Help,it say this mode only work under Overlay.

Btw:If Set CCC to theatermode,The Screen Saver keeping kick in when I am watching movie.I have to set it back to standard mode under CCC and restart the VISTA to fix the problem.

Why not just deactivate your screensaver completely?

Unless you're using a plasma monitor there's no need to fear the image being burnt in...

@Sirber

Isn't that in the Options=>Internal Filters=>Transform Filters=>H264/AVC (DXVA)?

EVR Custom Presenter (available so far only in MPC-HC) solves all problems with tearing, shuddering and other playback anamolies.

EVR has grey bars though

Have to use the internal MPC subtitle engine, no DirectVobSub. Of course need to use VMR renderless mode or EVR custom presenter.

My PC's main function is a "Computer"(For some reason,I need ScreenSaver),HTPC function for my HD LCD just a temporary setup(I am waiting for my popcornhours A-100 Hardware Player come in next month).

BTW:TheaterMode for EVR is useless,And disable it will prevent Screensaver kicking in when I play full screen on TV.

Would it be possible to compile 2 separate MPC Video Decoder .ax filters? One for WVC1 and one for H264? I ask because I have an ATI card that seems to have problems when playing H264 files but no problems with WVC1. I am having trouble getting the filter merits worked out and I either get the MPC filter taking control of everything or taking control of nothing (unregistered). 2 separate versions of the decoder for each FOURCC would help greatly.

If it is not possible, thanks for this great stuff anyways! Awesome!

@leonowsik
Download the latest Build with .ax Files.
http://rs339.rapidshare.com/files/94...lters.r421.zip
The MPC VideoDecoder.ax is the Decoder with DXVA for VC1 and H264
Simply use/set it for VC1 and H264 in any DShowplayer. I use it in Zoomplayer, works perfect

I have a ATI HD3870 and DXVA for H264 works perfect.

I just installed Net.3 to play with EVR on my main PC.

Do you think I should also install Net.3 on my HTPC (2800+ Barton, ATI 9800 Pro) which I use MPC HT/Zoom Player, always with Reclock and always VMR9 Renderless?

Would I see an improvement in performance etc?
