Issues with Audio-Video Sync After Encoding with x264

Hi everyone,

I’ve been having some issues after encoding video with x264, where the audio gradually goes out of sync with the video. Everything seems fine with the original file, but after encoding, the sync issue becomes noticeable, especially toward the middle or end of the video. I’m not sure if it’s a problem with the encoding settings or something else in the process.

I’ve tried adjusting the frame rate and making sure that the audio and video have the same length, but the issue persists. Is there something specific in x264 settings I should look into, or could it be something else entirely?

Any tips or advice on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Elena

What were the source details , was it VFR (variable frame rate) ? . What does mediainfo (view=>text) say about the source ?

Did you use x264 cli directly , or some front end GUI?
