Type: [DVD-R]
Format: [v2.0]
Max write speed: [1x]
Unit price: [$1.29]
Retailer: http://www.supermediastore.com

DVD Burner: [Pioneer A104]
DVD burning software: [Nero 5.5.9]

Compatibility: Plays on the A04 and my Apex 1500.
Did not try on other players.

Nice media, packaged in 2x25 spindle. No problem so far.

Folks could you from now on use ADVDINFO.EXE so we can tell which manufacturer is actually making the DVD ? That would be very helpfull because this way we could tell that 2 different brand in 2 different stores are actually the same.
A good example is Meritline General V2.0 Gold $1.79 = supermediaStore Ritek Gold $1.29 !!! Both are "RITEKG..03" ...

Cheers

STI Certified

Brand: STI Certified
Type: DVD-R
Format: DVD-R
Max Write Speed: 1x
Unit Price 5 for $20
Retailer: http://www.sticertified.com
DVD Burner: Panasonic AO3
Software: Nero, Spruce, Prassi
Compatibility: Sony (and probably others)

I know they're not the cheapest but I've never had a bad disk from them. After many frustrations with the cheaper media this seems to be a comfortable middle-ground.

Brand: Princo
Type: [DVD-R]
Format: [DVD-R]
Max write speed: [1x]
Unit price: $1.15
Retailer: meritline
DVD Burner: [Pioneer A03]
DVD burning software: [Nero 5.5.8.2]

Compatibility: I got a 25 pack spindle. So far, no coasters, I only have 3 left. They all play fine on my Oritron DVD600 and my Sony 530D. I also tried two of them on a Pioneer(not sure the model number) DVD player.

ADVDinfo reports them as being Princo, but meritline didn't specify the brand, just said they were unbranded generics.

I use a pioneer DVD-106 and stomp recordnow max and I get my dvd-r's from www.americal.com. They have either professional grade or standard grade. I use the standard grade and if memory serves out of over 100 dvd-r's I've had one that did not work. Just one is pretty darn good if you ask me. They burn at 2X and they're not all that pricey either, around $.79 a piece for the standard grade, they come in either white or silver tops and spindles of pretty much any size. Hope this helps yall.

Yo ol' fool... Ur RecordMac stated 2x but it does not burn at 2x...You can not get true 2x at $0.79 as of now yet.
How long does it burn?... I bet you it's more than 28min for 4.7GB BTW it doesn't matter how the recording program says, timing is the best way to tell the burnning speed.
