Will we be able to utilise this in the next ripbot release

•AVX mbtree_propagate. Up to ~20-30% faster than SSE2 on Sandy Bridge

i cant get the latest x264 to work with ripbot 1.16.5, but i may need to update all the tools also, il wait until you update ripbot if thats the case

i currently encode avchd.

with settings similar to below profile for 1080p bd9 avchd

-profile high --level 4.1 --aud --nal-hrd vbr --b-pyramid strict --keyint 24 --min-keyint 2 --vbv-maxrate 17000 --vbv-bufsize 25000 --aq-strength 0.8 --psy-rd 0.80:0 --no-dct-decimate --no-fast-pskip --merange 64 --filter -2,-2 --ref 3 --bframes 5 --b-adapt 2 --subme 9 --aq-mode 1 --trellis 1 --me umh

any help aappreciated, i want 30% faster encodes, i encode for a hd site

I have used your program for years, and its simply fantastic

i thank you

Subtitles Problem

While converting mkv/x264 videos to a smaller size I've been having the problem of the included subtitles being hardcoded into the converted video.

On the Edit Job > Properties settings I've choose "Do not use subtitles" but they keep being hardcoded.

Could someone please tell me how to stop this from happening. It's ruined alot of videos.

Incase this info helps. I often add videos to the queue to be processed later, reopening Ripbot when needed.

That 20%-30% speedup probably only refers to the time spent on the mbtree algorithm, not to the overall speed of an encode.

New updates for mmg :

http://www.bunkus.org/videotools/mkv...downloads.html

@muhadi

Try these settings :

Quote:
program --preset fast --pass 2 --bitrate 6366 --stats ".stats" --deblock -0:-0 --b-adapt 2 --ref 7 --qpmin 10 --qpmax 51 --vbv-bufsize 62500 --vbv-maxrate 50000 --no-mbtree --merange 16 --me umh --direct auto --subme 7 --trellis 1 --no-dct-decimate --no-fast-pskip --ratetol=1.0 --output "output" "input"
Or better choose as profile : [HIGH] 4.0 HD Progressive

Do that step by step:
  1. Deinstall all Java REs / SDKs
  2. Install Java RE/SDK 32-bit
  3. Install Java RE/SDK 64-bit

Now everything should work fine!

Except I have to have both jvm's installed and my JAVA_HOME would have to be the 32 bit. Sort of makes the 64bit Java install redundant.

No... 64-Bit web-browsers need 64-Bit Java... if you have a 64-Bit OS you should have BOTH x86 and x64 extension versions installed...

meh, no need unless you're using IE x64 (everything else is x86 as far as I know)
I'm not sure if an x64 flash was ever released or not

There is a very good working Beta... I have been using it for months and months... Here is the link if you are interested. I never (Or I should say very rarely) use x86 IE... 64-Bit is much faster and crisper. It also has less add-ons

64-Bit Flash:

Never put any files other than links on your desktop. Tools which add files in the same directory will clutter it until you don't remember what's important for your Windows' health and what isn't.

Make a directory on a data partition (if you have more than one, and you should – for security and speed). Place your video files there. That keeps your desktop clean. If you absolutely need quick access there, copy a link to that directory to your desktop...
