how to reach good quality and low size on disk for videos
hi
im using virtual Dub to crop and convert my videos i use xvid or divx codec to converting my videos to avi i seen some videos in *.mp4 or *.mkv or *.avi formats that have very good quality and low size on disk for example one of this clips has 6 minutes time and 60 MB in size and is 720p resolution and very good quality... is there any way to convert my videos like this one? ok
thanks i used x264 but there are many options for virtual dub are anybody tested an option in video compression menu that gets low size on disk and has good quality? i see many options that such as rate control, format restrictions |

I don't quite get what options you mean but for x264 just stick with the preset/tuning system.
Set the tuning to your input (-animation for anime and cartoons, -film for pretty much anything else) and the preset according to the time you want to spend on the encoding. If you have to achieve a specific size use a bitrate mode or else set the crf to a value to get the quality you desire. |
